New Art Riot

It’s all go at Tigerpicks HQ, with the band currently readying tracks for their smash hit debut album, ‘Mourning The Death Of A Panther’ (or whatever they’re calling it this week).

As well as lavishing shiny new production jobs on some of our favourite tracks - witness the colossal ‘Crazy Juices’ being made to sound even more like an intergalactic joyride courtesy of a beefed-up backing and some carefully-placed woosh noises - Martyn, Frankie and Emma have also adorned their MySpace with assorted ‘newies’.

Finest of these is doom-laden futurepop banger ‘Globe Trot’, the sound of an entire nation’s dancefloors on a journey to hell, via space. Also along for the ride is ‘Art Riot’, which is Xenomania at their most wasted, making dirty phone calls to Cheryl Tweedy’s mobile.

The amazing and already-much-played ‘GUERILLA’ completes the trinity of tracks vying for standout status on what must now be one of 2008’s most eagerly-awaited - and let’s face it, probably best - albums.

In other news, The Tigerpicks - along with others from the Deltasonic label - are playing a Christmas charity gig in Liverpool on December 22.

Details of this and of the tunes above can be found at their MySpace page.

Which is here.
