Do you like to strap roller skates to your feet and then career about like a mad person while listening to music?If you answered ‘yes’ to these questions, then not only were you (we imagine) a regular at Rochdale’s world-famous (ie some people have heard of it) Roller City in the 80s, but you might also be interested in the following thinly-disguised plug.
This weekend sees Nokia Skate Almighty roll (DO YOU SEE) into Manchester, featuring a host of DJ sets booming out across the specially-created skate park. If you fancy recreating the roller discos of your youth, tickets and info can be found here.
FYI we’re covering this event due to its huge cultural importance and not because we fucking love roller skating and would quite like some tickets for the fully-booked Saturday night.
