When he is not spending time being quite funny in programmes like The IT Crowd and The Mighty Boosh, there is nothing Richard Ayoade likes more than to kick back and direct the shit out of some white-hot promos for the latest cooler-than-you indie ‘concerns’.

Latest in the shooting line is Vampire Weekend, for whom Richard has rustled up the following bit of one-take niceness:



Very good. Of even greater merit is the incredibly pretty video for The Last Shadow Puppets’ ‘Standing Next to Me’, but you will probably have to turn the volume down for this one (there is some terrible ‘singing’ going on).
